Alexandra O’Hagan-Padron brings nearly a decade of venture capital experience to the Flyover Capital team, specializing in supporting early-stage founders as they scale their businesses. Her founder-first philosophy focuses on investing in people with great ideas and providing the resources, guidance, and community needed to help them succeed.
Alexandra’s passion for agriculture, nutrition, and the future of food stems from her early career in the food and beverage consumer packaged goods (F&B CPG) sector. She is particularly interested in the intersection of food and technology, including innovations in the food-as-medicine space, where software solutions are enabling higher support and adherence rates for life-changing nutritional interventions.
Born and raised in Redondo Beach, California, Alexandra earned her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York City and later completed her MBA at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. After living on both coasts, Alexandra and her husband embraced a new adventure by moving to Kansas City, drawn by its vibrant community and welcoming neighborhoods.
As an investor at Flyover Capital, Alexandra is leading the firm’s new pre-seed investment initiative, First Flight. This strategy addresses a critical funding gap for early-stage startups in the Midwest, aiming to help entrepreneurs get started on their journey and spark innovation throughout the region. Alexandra is committed to backing exceptional technology leaders as they take the first steps in their founder journey. Since joining the team, she has been actively building meaningful connections in the Kansas City innovation ecosystem.
Outside of her professional role, Alexandra enjoys mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs and giving back through programs like Defy Ventures.
